Best Cyber Monday Deals 2012

Seeing  people on the news camping out overnight at Best Buy to save $200 on a television proves to me that there are still a large number of people out there lacking any sort of common sense. It just isn’t sensible to me to spend a full 24 hours of your day in discomfort to save what you could probably also save from the comfort of your own couch – where you have heat and a bathroom and you don’t have to push strangers or have your life threatened. Cyber Monday Security Tips:

  • Shop on websites you know and trust. If  a site seems a little fishy, google it to make sure there hasn’t been any negative feedback or scams reported.
  • Make sure you’re using anti-virus software, and that you have the most updated version.
  • Use websites that use an HTTPS URL. The S at the end stands for secure and gives you an added level of protection. Also be sure to check to see if the page where you make payment has a different URL.
Happy shopping! It will be much more enjoyable when you don’t have to push people around and pee in a tupperwear container.
